Yesterday we got our introductory phone call from our Slab Supervisor to say site scrape had begun Tuesday and was being completed on Wednesday.
I drove out to the block today to see the changes.
There’s a small section at the back for our backyard
Quite a decent cut at the front of the block. Should be approx. 70cm below street level once complete.

We have a fence and a toilet!
There is a two metre fall from the front of the block to the back so to get a flat surface they needed to cut the top right corner and fill the back left corner.
This fall is also the reason we require a long retaining wall along the fence between us and our neighbours to prevent water draining off onto their block.
It was great to see some action on the block. It has been 19 months since we first put our deposit on the land.
I never thought flat dirt would bring me so much joy.
